50 delegates of Jewish Museums from 17 countries gathered in Istanbul for the 2004 Annual Meeting of the "Association of European Jewish Museums".
An Istanbul Jewish Heritage Tour comprising a walk across the formerly Jewish districts: Kuledibi and Galata, the Neve Shalom and Ashkenazi synagogues, Hasköy district and Karaim Synagogue, Balat district and Ahrida synagogue, Kuzguncuk Synagogue and Cemetery and of course the Jewish Museum, was organized for the attendees.
