Founded in September 2005, Lausanne Exchangees Foundation Choire sings common songs in Turkish and Greek, Pomaks, Macedonian songs and folk songs, from both sides of the Aegean, brought from the ancestral lands of the Ottoman Empire. The exchangees' descendants will sing the songs of both sides of the Aegean at a concert in Neve Şalom Synagogue. Megillat Esther (Esther's Story), which used to be taken out of the enclosure and read at the Purim festival, was in the form of a roll, like The Torah, was written by hand on parchment and sometimes adorned with paintings.
