In our Museum on 19th of April, we have shared our Passover meals and traditions with our guests, along with prayers in memory of the Exodus from Egypt.
In the Caddebostan Kültür Merkezi, between 16th-23th of March, Çanakkale Wars, World War I and the Ottoman Jews Exhibition was displayed. Mayor of Kadıköy Aykurt Nuhoğlu, Deputy Mayor Uygur Çakmak and the Chief Rabbi Rav İzak Haleva were present in the opening ceremony.
Exhibition of Jewish Athletes in Turkish History was available for visit from 27 November until 31 December 2016.
The official opening of the exibition took place on 4 December Sunday with the participation of the Chief Rabbi İzak Haleva.
On the 12th February, The Saragosa Purim was celebrated in the Quincentennial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews.
We celebrated the 3rd day of Hannukah (Feast Of Lights) on 27 December Tuesday evening.
On the 3rd day of Hannukah, with the participation of The Mayor of Beyoglu Mr.Ahmet Misbah Demircan, Chief Rabi İzak Haleva and Manager of Culture of the city of Istanbul Mr.Nedret Apaydın, we lit the candles in Neve Shalom Synagogue all together for ‘‘hope’’.
Following the Sabi Şamarya and Bike Öner recital and Cem Kaston singing his self-composed Hebrew songs, the event was closed with lighting the candles with Anoten Prayer.
