An exhibition of photographs documented by photographer Alberto Modiano during the “March of Living” march in Auchwitz, Poland, with Ulus Private Jewish Schools in 2012, will be opened  in the Quincentennial Foundation Museum Of Turkish Jews on January 23rd.

In his work, where Modiano has followed the Jewish traces erased by the Holocaust in Jewish-densely populated towns, he has transformed the persecution into an exhibition, with the interpretation of symbols left from the Holocaust.

The work was first exhibited at the Ortaköy Etz A Hayim Synagogue in 2013 during the Holocaust Memorial. Then, in 2014, it was exhibited in Kadir Has University and twice in Ankara and in the hall of Afsad Photography Association. The video demonstration of photographs reached numerous audiences and answered many questions. The opening, which will take place between 17.30-19.30, will also feature a 13-minute summary of the film, which was screened at the Museum last Sunday, about Jews, rescued by the Consul General of Rhodes, Selahattin Ülkümen, and a witness.
