This presentation consists of two parts. The first part will examine how the Iberian Peninsula achieved such an advanced civilization in the darkness of medieval Europe.  In the second part, the meeting of the Sephardim with the Muslim Arab and Christian cultures in Spain and Portugal, the Andalusian Umayyads and the various scientific studies they carried out in Portugal with the Christians will be presented.  The presentation will also include information about scientists who immigrated to the Ottoman Empire.
