The Interaction of Sephardic Cuisine with its Environment

“As Sephardic Jews, we were forced to migrate from one geography to another, but the rich recipes and food culture inherited from our families are very valuable to us. It is very meaningful for us that on Shabbat nights and holidays, several generations can gather around a crowded table and have a dialog, telling stories about life. Nowadays, when tasting the flavors of different cultures is very popular, we are happy if we can convey a little bit of our past and identity to the younger generations based on our own culinary culture.”
