EVENT ARCHIVE
50 delegates of Jewish Museums from 17 countries gathered in Istanbul for the 2004 Annual Meeting of the "Association of European Jewish Museums".
A nostalgic Sunday afternoon for the couples (or widows) who were married at the Zulfaris Synagogue - Kal Kadosh Galata, where the Museum is established. Speeches, slides, a multi-media show, souvenirs and a wedding cake cut by the oldest and youngest couple married there were some of the events of the afternoon.
To mark the European Day of Jewish Culture a large audience attended the open-air concert of Sephardic songs in front of the Museum, and accompanied the singers: Los Pasharos Sefardis, in their nostalgic repertoire.
Amongst the events planned for the Galata Festival, a multi-media presentation of Sephardic Wedding Photos accompanied by Sephardic music was shown every night from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, on the stairs at the entrance of the museum.
